Basic Service Method (According to hand-grip)

In the last posting you have known about basic stroke in badminton according to direction and definition. Now, I will tell you about basic technique service in badminton according to hand-grip (forehand or backhand). Please.

As I tell you, Service is the beginning capital to be able to beat match. Equally, a player can not get number in the match when not do service well. As we know in game of badminton, there three kinds service, that is short service, tall service, and flick or half tall service. But, usually service united into kind or form that is service forehand and backhand. Each this type of variation in doing as according to situation of game at field. Here the detail of explanation.
  1. Forehand Service.
  2. Short Forehand Service :
    • The aim this short service to force opponent so that can’t do attack. Besides opponent is forced to stay in position survives.
    • Variation of direction and target this short service can be trained seriously and systematic.
    • The shuttlecock must be strike with swing of racket that short relatively.
    • At the (time) of contact with head (leaf) racket and shuttlecock, elbow in a state of crooked, to avoid use of energy of wrist, and look at transition of emphasis of your body.
    • Method of the practice use amount of shuttlecock and done according to recurrent.
    Long Forehand Service:


    • Kind of this service is especially used in single game.
    • Shuttlecock must be strike by using full energy so that shuttlecock flies tall and fall vertical at backside of line of field of opponent.
    • Moment of strike the shuttlecock, second opened foot as wide as hip and second sole always contact with floor.
    • Look at movement of swing of racket. Rear, forwards and after doing the strike, must be done finely with be followed movement transition of emphasis of body from hind foot to in front of foot that must be direct continue and harmonic.
    • Accustom to be concentrate before strike the shuttlecock.
    • Only with practice diligent and recurrent without know tired, can get the best of technique tall forehand service with correctly.
  3. Backhand Service

    Kind of this service generally, direction and fall of shuttlecock contiguous with line attacks of opponent. And shuttlecock as much as you can fly relatively near above net. Therefore, kind of this service often use by double player.

    • Attitude stands right foot in front of left foot, with end of right foot aims to target of desirable. Second open your foot as wide as hip, knee is bent, so that with attitude likes this, emphasis of body resides in between second foot. Don't forget, attitude of permanent body relaxes and full concentration.
    • Swing of racket short relatively, so that shuttlecock only pushed constructively heavy transition of body from hind to foreleg, with rhythm of movement continue and harmonic. Avoid to use energy of wrist that over, because will influence direction and accuracy of stroke.
    • Before do service, look at position and attitude stands opponent, so that can aim shuttlecock to right place and appropriate estimate.

    Wrong Service
    1. At the (time) of strike ball, head (leaf) higher racket or in a line with grip racket.
    2. Points of touching with shuttlecock, head (leaf) higher racket from waist.
    3. Position of foot treads on middle line or in front line.
    4. Left foot does step.
    5. Right foot steps before shuttlecock stricken.
    6. Series of racket swings and strike shuttlecock may not broken off.
    7. The service receivers move before shuttlecock servicer stricken.

    Correct Service
    1. At the (time) of strike, height of head (leaf) racket must present under handle of racket.
    2. The touching of shuttlecock must under waist.
    3. Static left foot.
    4. Only shift foot, but not get out of soil.
    5. Swings of racket series, must in a series of.
    6. Receivers service move a moment after service stricken.

Basic Stroke in Playing Badminton

Hello, i return again this time to give you information hits technique basic in play badminton. This time i will introduce to you several kinds of stroke in game of badminton based on direction and location shuttlecock also i figure in with the term. Please.
Okay, first based on stroke method in badminton divided to be 2 parts, that is stroke forehand and stroke of backhand. But that stroke i shall explain the detailer later and really in posting this time i only will explain to you are term in stroke and direction of the stroke. (Look the picture and the explanation mentioned below)
  1. Service

  2. The meaning of stroke service is the first ball that precede the game. Service divided to be 3, that is short service (A), long service (B) and drive service(C).
    • Short service done only need a little energy. Impressing shuttlecock enough with pushed use heavy transfer of body from hind forwards rhythmically. In do this movement, try shuttlecock walk nearly as you can with height of net so that can be difficult to opponent.

    • Long service usually used in single game. With this service, the shuttlecock can near backline and nosedive straight sharp downwards. This stroke service, need many energies.

    • Drive service done by strike shuttlecock as far as you can with direction of ball horizontally and fast, so that opponent will difficult to return back the service.
  3. Stroke Beside Service (Lob, drive, dropshot, smash, netting

    • Defensive Lob (A)
    • Defensive lob used to defend attack, done with throw tall shuttlecock far until backline.
    • Dropshot (B)
    • Stroke dropshot that stroke done with a purpose to laid shuttlecock as soon as it and nearly with net in field of opponent.
    • Attack Lob (C)
    • Attack lob stroke taken from in front of body above head, throw with low and fast.
    • Drive (D)
    • Drive stroke aimed along line side and horizontal as high as net, as a mean to speed up time of game with launch shuttlecock rock-bottom in net.
    • Smash (E)
    • Stroke smash done quickly and hardest as you can up at under field of opponent. Method in smash stroke much the same with lob stroke. The difference, lob stroke strike tall to top while stroke smash strike sharp downwards hardly.
    • Netting (F)
    • Netting stroke is stroke that taken as high as and as soon as possible in front of net and stroke netting must throw as low as may be with lip of net.

Yes, may be to do this stroke need much time to practice. But if you want to try and want to increase your skill, you must take a lot of exercise.
